The purpose of this section is to provide information helpful to truckers. I'll be adding to it from time to time and if there's something you'd like to see included, something you've been having difficulty finding youself or something you've been wondering about, maybe, let me know by visiting the contact page. First on the list...
The ability to obtain real-time images from remote locations via roadcams and weathercams is one of the coolest features of the Internet. The Roadcams page is a list of web sites offering real-time web cams or videos. The list of Roadcams will be updated and expanded as time goes by and, if you find a link that doesn't work (for some reason these pages seem to move around a lot), I'd appreciate it if you'd visit the contact page and let me know.
Dealing with DAC
It's funny how long a name, especially one that carries negative connotations, will stick. DAC Services began providing background checks, on prospective drivers, to trucking companies in 1981. They were eventually swallowed up by USIS Commercial Services and, finally, USIS merged with HireRight. Through all of this, DAC Services, originally known as Drive-A-Check, continued to expand their market and more and more drivers began realizing how difficult life could be for them if their DAC Report (similar to a Credit Report, and governed under the same regulations) included negative information. For more about how you can maintain a good report, and how you can dispute false information, you should certainly learn more about Dealing with DAC.
